Η Σοφία Ιωάννου είναι ηθοποιός και καθηγήτρια μουσικού θεάτρου (musical) στη σχολή «Εργαστήρι Μουσικής & Θεάτρου Μαρία Χρυσοστόμου». Την Τετάρτη 6 Σεπτεμβρίου 2023 εκλέχθηκε ως μέλος του διοικητικού συμβουλίου 2023-2025 του Κέντρου Θεάτρου για Παιδιά και Νεαρά Άτομα - Assitej Cyprus.

Ο ASSITEJ Κύπρου ιδρύθηκε τον Μάρτιο του 2021 και είναι επίσημο μέλος του Assitej International, του διεθνούς οργανισμού θεάτρου για παιδιά και νέους. Αυτή τη στιγμή αριθμεί 178 τακτικά μέλη: θέατρα, θεατρικές ομάδες, άλλες ομάδες και φυσικά πρόσωπα που ασχολούνται επαγγελματικά με το θέατρο για παιδιά και νέους. Sofia Ioannou is an actress and a teacher of musical theatre at the "Maria Chrysostomou School of Music & Theatre." On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, she was elected as a member of the executive committee 2023-2025 of the Center for Theatre for Children and Young People - Assitej Cyprus.

Assitej Cyprus was founded in March 2021 and is an official member of Assitej International, the international theatre organization for children and young audiences. At present, it counts 178 regular members, including theatres, theatre groups, other organizations, and individuals who are professionally engaged in theatre for children and young people (source: https://el.assitej-cyprus.com/).
