She was born in December 1992 in Agios Dometios, Nicosia, Cyprus.

At the age of 4, her artistic education began with music and ballet lessons. At the age of 5, she started piano lessons, music theory, solfège, and later saxophone and vocals, mainly following the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) system. After finishing school, she pursued music studies (BMus with Honours, University of Huddersfield) and a postgraduate degree in music composition for theater and cinema (MA Music for the Moving Image, Leeds Beckett University).

As she knew early on that her primary focus would be teaching, she decided that her main subjects would be child psychology and music therapy for all ages, primarily focusing on the autism spectrum. She traveled to the United Kingdom and Athens, attending various workshops and seminars on these topics, especially on theater play with music, etc.

Upon returning to Cyprus, she founded the "Maria Chrysostomou School of Music & Theatre" in Agios Dometios in the summer of 2015, but her education continued by attending over 70 seminars (to date) at THOC (Cyprus Theatre Organisation), European University Cyprus, Cyprus Theatre Museum, Frederick University, Halkidionio Conservatory Athens, ANIMA, and +sense. She has her own professional theater group (Anamnesis, 2016), with which they perform their own works accompanied by her music.

She has written poetry and theater books that have been published. In 2018, she collaborated with the amateur theater group of A.P.O.P. Palaichoriou, where she directed the play "KOINOS TOPOS." With this performance, they traveled to 4 villages in Cyprus and participated in the amateur theater festival organized annually by THOC.
