DIRECTOR'S NOTE:
A question that had been on my mind for quite some time.
One day, during our class, I posed this question to the children.
They looked at me curiously, “What do you mean, miss?”
I repeated, “Are we really that different or that similar?”
One child answered, “We are all different,” and another immediately added, “Yes, but we are all the same.”
And so, our discussion on diversity began. What is different? What makes us different? Why does something that isn’t the same as us bother us? Is there a universal similarity?
Then, the sharing began. The children had the courage to share their personal experiences—stories from school, from daily life. They decided which “aspect” of diversity they wanted to highlight and express through theatre.
That sharing became inspiration, inspiration turned into creation, and creation became what you will witness today.
"These are some beautiful flowers. Some have a stronger scent. Some are missing petals. Some need more water to bloom. We are just like these flowers—so beautiful and so different. So different, yet so alike."

The Maria Chrysostomou Music & Theatre Workshop proudly presents the musical "Addams Family" for the first time!
A freely adapted version of the well-known musical "The Addams Family", performed in Greek.
This performance is fully accessible, featuring on-stage interpretation in Free Cypriot Sign Language.
All net proceeds from the show will be donated to the
"Μικροί Ήρωες" Foundation.

Το έργο
Βρισκόμαστε στο σπίτι της πιο παράξενης και αστείας οικογένειας, την οικογένεια Άνταμς! Ποια είναι η ιστορία τους; Πως ένας συνηθισμένος άνθρωπος αντιδρά στις παράξενές τους συνήθειες; Είναι τελικά τόσο παράξενοι;
Η αγάπη που είναι πάντα και παντού θα μας δείξει την ιστορία τους.
Η κόρη της οικογένειας, Γουένσντεϊ Ανταμς, μεγαλώνει, ερωτεύεται και προσκαλεί το αγόρι της και την οικογένεια του στο σπίτι της, για να γνωριστούν οι οικογένειες τους. Τα πράγματα περιπλέκονται εξαιτίας ενός μυστικού, αλλά και του αδερφού της που δεν θέλει με τίποτα να δει τη Γουένσντεϊ να τον εγκαταλείπει για ένα αγόρι, μέχρι να βγει στην επιφάνεια η αλήθεια του κάθε ενός.

θεατρική παράσταση: το πανηγύρι μας
ένα έργο βασισμένο στον θεατρικό μονόλογο του Ζαν Κοκτώ "την έχασα (στο πανηγύρι)" ο οποίος γράφτηκε το 1960.
Σε σύλληψη - σκηνοθεσία - μουσική επένδυση Μαρίας Χρυσοστόμου και Μαρίας Μαχλαμούζη, 11 παιδιά από θεατρικά τμήματα παρουσιάζουν επί σκηνής τη δική τους εκδοχή από ένα πανηγύρι στημένο εν ετη 2024.
Θα σας αφήσουμε να φανταστείτε και να χτίσετε όπως θέλετε στο μυαλό σας την παράσταση που θα δείτε έχοντας μόνο τον παραπάνω τίτλο και τη φωτογραφία μας για παρέα.
Το έργο μας θα ταξιδέψει στη Θεσσαλονίκη αρχές Ιουνίου για να παιχτεί σε παιδικό φεστιβάλ θεάτρου αντιπροσωπεύοντας την Κύπρο.

Η ζωή είναι ένα ταξίδι με αναπάντεχα συναπαντήματα, που το κάθε ένα προκαλεί τα δικά του συναισθήματα. Πόσα συναισθήματα χωράνε σε μια βαλίτσα; Πόσες βαλίτσες μπλέκονται στο ταξίδι; Πόσα αντέχεις να κουβαλήσεις προσπαθώντας να ξετυλίξεις το κουβάρι της ζωής; Ποιά είναι αυτά που ξεχνάς; Ποια κουβαλάς μαζί σου για πάντα;
Η επινοημένη θεατρική παράσταση (devised theatre) “ΟΛΑ ΟΣΑ ΕΝΙΩΣΑ” δημιουργήθηκε μέσα από τα μαθήματα θεάτρου και τις συζητήσεις των συντελεστών, έχοντας στόχο να μας ταξιδέψει όπως και η ζωή, σε: χαρές, λύπες, έρωτες, απώλειες, φως.
Η θεατρική ερασιτεχνική ομάδα "θάλλω" της σχολής “Εργαστήρι Μουσικής & Θεάτρου Μαρία Χρυσοστόμου” ανεβάζει την πρώτη της παράσταση με τίτλο “ΟΛΑ ΟΣΑ ΕΝΙΩΣΑ”.

Maria Chrysostomou School of Music & Theatre presents the musical KASITA, based on the multi-award winning Disney's “Encanto”. The show will be accessible with two interpreters of the Cypriot Sign Language on stage. Net proceedings will be donated to Cyprus Association «one dream one wish».

THE SHOW
After a fateful event, a young mother finds herself alone with three children. At their darkest time, they were given a little miracle, a little magic. A family with its ups and downs like all families, except this one is a little more... magical!
A candle is the source of the miracle. Each new family member gets a "gift" at the right time.
What happens when a family member does not receive a gift? What makes it different?
DIRECTOR'S NOTE
I found myself in the movie theatre as a "classic Disney kid" who went to see the new Disney movie, without looking up any information about "Encanto".
I didn't do my homework and I was enchanted!
A few minutes before it ended I said "this will be the first musical of our school". And now, 18 months later, our own family takes the stage!
I want those in the audience that night to feel the magic I felt at the cinema. Therefore, our project consists mainly of 8-10 year old children and
this purity enhances the miracle.

THE SHOW
The scene is set a few days before Christmas at a small neighbourhood of a big country...
Our story begins at the central square of the neighbourhood where a choir sings Christmas carols.
Two little elves start fooling around in the square and then they lead us at different houses of the neighbourhood. They get in and out of places, managing their mischiefs, they get happy, they get sad...
Until one event affects everyone. Adults, kids, even the two elves!
